WTM London is expanding access to the travel industry’s next generation of professionals, offering free summit tickets and discounted event entry to students and recent graduates ahead of its 2026 edition.

The travel and tourism trade event, organised by RX Global, is continuing its long-standing partnership with ITT Future You, an initiative of the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT), to help young people explore career opportunities across the industry.

Since 2009, WTM London and ITT Future You have jointly hosted a dedicated forum for students and graduates as part of the event’s conference programme. The initiative gives emerging professionals an opportunity to learn about the sector, meet established industry figures and gain a better understanding of potential career paths.

This year’s ITT Future You Summit is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Maritime Suite, George V Room 1. The session will feature industry insights, guest speakers, career guidance, networking opportunities and interactive discussions designed to introduce participants to the travel industry’s professional landscape.

Students will be able to connect with travel professionals, explore opportunities across different sectors and hear perspectives on the future of global travel. The summit is intended to help those considering careers in travel and tourism understand the range of roles available beyond the more familiar areas of the industry.

As part of the partnership, WTM London has allocated 300 complimentary tickets for the summit. ITT Future You is distributing the tickets, and a limited number remain available. Students and recent graduates interested in travel, tourism, aviation and hospitality are advised to contact their institution’s careers or placement office to ask about access.

WTM London is also working with The Tourism Society, which is making 49 free student memberships available as part of the initiative leading up to the organisation’s 50th anniversary in 2027. The collaboration is intended to encourage greater awareness of tourism careers across different parts of the sector.

“We are delighted to be partnering with WTM in 2026,” said Alison Cryer MBE, executive secretary of The Tourism Society. She said the organisation’s purpose is to promote careers in tourism across all sectors and that the collaboration would help advance that objective.

Students who cannot secure one of the allocated complimentary summit tickets can still attend WTM London on Thursday for a reduced admission fee of £10 per student. The discounted rate provides another route for young people to access the event and its wider industry programme.

Chris Carter-Chapman, event director of WTM London, said students and recent graduates should be welcomed into the industry early in their careers and represented in the event’s conference programme.

“Today’s students and recent graduates are the future of the travel industry, and WTM has a moral obligation to make sure that they are not only welcomed into the industry at the earliest stages of their career but also factored in to our conference programme,” Carter-Chapman said.

He also highlighted the importance of WTM London’s long-term relationships with ITT and The Tourism Society in supporting the initiative.

Universities interested in securing opportunities for their students are encouraged to contact the relevant partner associations. Those seeking the discounted group booking option can contact WTM Customer Services to request a Group Student Booking link, which provides Thursday entry for £10 per student.

With complimentary summit places limited and discounted admission available through a separate booking route, students interested in attending WTM London 2026 should check eligibility and ticket access with their institution or the event’s customer services team before making arrangements.
