Black Friday travel deals in 2026 could offer travellers an opportunity to save on flights and hotel stays, with European airlines and major hotel groups preparing seasonal promotions ahead of the busy holiday booking period.
Although Thanksgiving is not widely celebrated in Europe, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday have become important dates for shoppers and travellers looking for discounts. For anyone planning a holiday in 2027, the November sales may provide an opportunity to compare prices and secure a trip at a lower cost.

However, finding a genuine bargain requires more than booking as soon as a discount appears. Airlines and hotels may release offers on different days, and a promotion does not automatically mean the price is the lowest available. Travellers should compare fares, check booking conditions and consider the full cost of their trip before making a decision.
According to Skyscanner, which examined the lowest average price per seat across the five-day period from Black Friday to Travel Tuesday in 2025, Cyber Monday was the best day to book flights on average. Deals were also available on Travel Tuesday, suggesting that travellers should not assume all the best offers disappear during the initial Black Friday sales.
Laura Lindsay, Skyscanner’s travel trends and destination expert, said Travel Tuesday could present an opportunity for airlines and hotels to attract customers after the main shopping days.
By then, some consumers may have completed their Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases and turned their attention away from planning future holidays, creating an opportunity for travel companies to promote their offers.
Nevertheless, the 2025 findings do not guarantee that Cyber Monday or Travel Tuesday will offer the lowest fares in 2026. Prices vary according to the route, travel dates, demand and availability, so comparing offers throughout the sales period remains important.
One of the simplest ways to prepare is to set up flight price alerts before the sales begin. Tools such as Skyscanner and Google Flights allow users to monitor fares and receive notifications when prices change. Checking prices in advance also gives travellers a reference point for judging whether a Black Friday offer represents a meaningful saving.
Flexibility can make a difference, too. Travellers who can adjust their departure dates, consider alternative destinations or fly from a nearby airport may find more affordable options than those searching for a specific flight on a fixed date. It is also worth checking nearby arrival airports, provided the additional transport costs and journey time do not outweigh the savings.
European airlines are among the companies expected to attract attention during the 2026 Black Friday sales. According to the original report, easyJet, British Airways, Iberia, SAS, Jet2, Finnair, Air Europa and LOT Polish Airlines have dedicated Black Friday 2026 pages on their websites. These pages indicate that the airlines are preparing for the sales period, but they do not necessarily confirm specific discounts, routes or fares.
Other carriers that offered Black Friday promotions in 2025 include Ryanair, Lufthansa, Aer Lingus, Turkish Airlines, Norwegian, TAP Air Portugal, Volotea, Aegean Airlines and Pegasus Airlines. Their participation in previous sales makes them worth monitoring, although travellers should check each airline’s official website for confirmation of its 2026 offers.
Signing up for airline newsletters is another way to hear about promotions. Some carriers announce sales to subscribers, while members of their loyalty programmes may receive access to selected offers or other benefits. Travellers should check the conditions carefully, including whether a discount applies to all routes or only selected flights, and whether baggage, seat selection or other extras cost more.
Travellers booking flights beyond Europe may also want to look beyond the traditional Black Friday period. Some Middle Eastern airlines have historically used alternative promotional periods, including campaigns associated with Ramadan or Eid, rather than relying on conventional Black Friday sales. White Friday promotions are another regional variation. However, offers differ between airlines, so it is best to check the dates and terms announced by each carrier rather than assume a particular promotion will be available.
Hotels are another area worth watching during the November sales. Major international groups, including Marriott, Accor, IHG and Hilton, ran Black Friday promotions in 2025, making their official websites useful starting points for travellers planning stays in 2026 or 2027.
Joining a hotel’s free loyalty programme before booking may also be worthwhile. Depending on the brand and promotion, members can sometimes access additional discounts, exclusive rates or other benefits. Travellers should compare the member price with publicly available rates and read the booking conditions before committing.
The headline discount is only one part of the calculation. A cheaper room may come with stricter cancellation terms, while a discounted flight may exclude checked baggage or require additional fees. Comparing the final price, including taxes and necessary extras, provides a more reliable picture of the actual saving.
Travel dates matter just as much. A hotel promotion may apply only to selected nights or require a minimum stay, while flight discounts may be limited to particular routes or departure periods. Anyone planning a 2027 holiday should check when the offer can be used, how long the booking window remains open and whether the proposed dates fit their plans.
Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday can all be useful opportunities to search for travel discounts, but there is no universal best day for every booking. Travellers who track prices in advance, compare several providers and read the terms before paying will be better placed to recognise a worthwhile deal when one appears.
