Hotel Erzsebet City Center Budapest has opened in the Hungarian capital as the country’s first property under the Radisson Individuals brand, adding a newly renovated 126-room hotel to one of Budapest’s most central districts.

Located on Karolyi Street in historic District V, the hotel puts guests within walking distance of some of the city’s best-known cultural attractions, shopping areas and dining spots. Its arrival also expands Radisson Hotel Group’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe, while giving the Radisson Individuals brand its first foothold in Hungary.
The property has undergone a comprehensive renovation, with updated guest rooms and technical systems alongside services aimed at both leisure and business travellers. Facilities include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a daily buffet breakfast, 24-hour reception and concierge services. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their animals with them.

Its central location is one of the property’s main advantages. Vaci Street, one of Budapest’s best-known pedestrian shopping streets, is about two minutes away on foot. The Great Market Hall and Dohany Street Synagogue are both roughly eight minutes away, while the Hungarian National Museum can be reached in around six minutes. The Danube Promenade is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Several smaller landmarks and local gathering places are also close by. Karolyi Garden is just two minutes away, while the historic Cafe Astoria is around four minutes on foot. Together, these nearby destinations give visitors access to a mix of Budapest’s architecture, history, shopping and food culture without relying heavily on transport.

The hotel has 126 rooms and suites divided into Cozy Rooms, Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms and Junior Suites. The interiors follow a contemporary design, with an emphasis on practical comfort for guests staying in the city for either business or leisure.

Breakfast is served daily as a buffet, combining local favourites with international options. For guests needing something quick during the day, a snack vending area in the lobby provides refreshments.
The renovation also included technical improvements intended to reduce energy use and improve the building’s long-term efficiency. Upgrades include new facade windows, modern heating and cooling systems, intelligent building automation and window sensors that turn off air conditioning when windows are opened. Energy-efficient LED lighting has also been installed throughout the property.

For Radisson Hotel Group, the Budapest opening represents both a new market entry for the Radisson Individuals brand and another addition to its regional portfolio. David Jenkins, Vice President, Development, Eastern Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, said the brand is designed to bring together distinctive hotels that retain their individual identity while benefiting from the group’s international reach and hospitality standards.
Agnes Katona, General Manager of Hotel Erzsebet City Center Budapest, said the hotel’s central position allows visitors to experience the city largely on foot, with gardens, cafes, shops, museums, the Great Market Hall and the Danube all within easy reach.

The hotel is approximately 30 minutes by car from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. For visitors arriving for a city break, the location offers a practical starting point for exploring Budapest’s historic centre, while business travellers can also benefit from its central position and hotel services.

The opening comes as Budapest continues to attract travellers with its combination of historic architecture, cultural attractions, restaurants and walkable central neighbourhoods. For Hotel Erzsebet City Center Budapest, the challenge will be to turn that location into a distinctive guest experience while establishing the Radisson Individuals name in the Hungarian market.
