Thinkers50 has unveiled its Leaders50 2026 list, recognising 50 influential business executives, entrepreneurs and organisational leaders from around the world for their impact, contribution and approach to leadership.
Published on October 30, 2026, the biennial list features some of the world’s most recognisable corporate leaders, including Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang, and Chanel CEO Leena Nair. It also highlights entrepreneurs and social innovators whose work may be less familiar to international audiences.

Unlike conventional business rankings, which often focus on company performance, financial results or public visibility, Leaders50 uses an expert-led nomination process. Candidates are nominated exclusively by Thinkers50 Ranked Thinkers and recipients of the Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards. These include management scholars, leadership experts and authors whose work focuses on understanding how organisations and people are led.
The selection process places particular emphasis on the evidence of a leader’s impact, contribution, sense of purpose and commitment to developing others. This approach allows the list to recognise leadership beyond corporate size, financial influence or media attention, bringing attention to individuals whose work is making a difference within their organisations and wider communities.

The 2026 selection includes leaders from technology, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, retail, fashion, social enterprise and other sectors. Alongside prominent executives such as Nadella, Huang and Nair, the list features several entrepreneurs and innovators whose achievements reflect different approaches to business and social impact.
Among them is Jure Knez, president and co-founder of Slovenian technology company DEWESoft and founder of Acrobat City, an entrepreneurial hub in Slovenia. His inclusion highlights the contribution of business builders working outside the major global corporate centres.
Mursal Hedayat, a former refugee and founder of UK-based social enterprise Chatterbox, is another notable name. Her work brings a social enterprise perspective to the list, reflecting the role of entrepreneurship in addressing wider societal challenges.
Sharon Price John, former CEO of Build-A-Bear and now president and CEO of children’s apparel company Carter’s, also features. Her career across major consumer businesses adds another perspective to the range of leadership represented in the 2026 selection.
Thinkers50 co-founder Des Dearlove said the list was created to draw attention to leaders whose work offers lessons and inspiration for others facing complex organisational and global challenges.
“The challenges facing the world, organisations, and individuals are enormous. We do not know all the elements needed to tackle these challenges, but we do know that it will require exceptional leadership,” Dearlove said. He added that Leaders50 aims to highlight people making a meaningful impact so others can learn from their work and embrace purposeful leadership.
The full list includes executives from some of the world’s largest companies. General Motors CEO Mary Barra, LEGO Group CEO Niels Christiansen, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian, Bayer CEO Bill Anderson, Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum and Novartis CEO Vas Narasimhan are among those recognised.
The technology sector is also strongly represented, with Zoox CEO Aicha Evans, AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su, NIO founder and CEO Li Bin, and Honeywell Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Suresh Venkatarayalu included.
Other notable names include Doug McMillon, former president and CEO of Walmart; Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix; John Stankey, chair and CEO of AT&T; and Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, CEO of Temasek.
The list also recognises leaders from the fashion and consumer sectors, including Tarang Amin of e.l.f. Beauty, Andrea Illy of illycaffè, and Leena Nair of Chanel. Financial services and investment are represented by Michael Miebach of Mastercard, Jessica Tan of Sun Life Canada and Ken Denman of Sway Ventures.
Those selected for the 2026 Leaders50 will be honoured at the Thinkers50 London Summit and Leaders50 Awards Gala on November 2, 2026. The event will also mark the announcement of the inaugural Leaders50 Distinguished Achievement Awards.
By bringing together established corporate executives, entrepreneurs and social innovators, the 2026 selection offers a broad view of leadership across industries and regions. Its nomination model also places the judgement of management experts at the centre of the process, rather than relying solely on corporate visibility or financial influence.
