A Pennsylvania resort tragedy has led to criminal homicide charges against 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison, who is accused of fatally attacking her husband and their three-year-old son during a family stay at Great Wolf Lodge in the United States.

According to police, the incident took place inside a room at the resort, where the family had reportedly been staying for several weeks. Investigators said the family checked in on September 21 and extended their stay on October 5.
Harrison is accused of attacking her husband, Charles Harrison, and their son, identified in court documents as T.H., with a sharp object. Authorities allege that she then inflicted injuries on herself in what appeared to be an attempt to take her own life.
Police said Harrison called 911 after the incident and asked the dispatcher for help ending her life. During the call, she reportedly told the dispatcher that her husband and son were already dead.
“My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room,” she reportedly said. “They’re already gone, I’m sorry.”
According to court documents, Harrison later spoke to emergency medical personnel about her hopes of being a good wife and mother. She reportedly said she had worked hard every day to become the best person, mother and wife she could be, adding that she had dreamed of having a happy family since childhood.
Investigators recovered two sharp objects, medication bottles and other items from the room. Police reportedly collected between 80 and 90 pieces of evidence as they worked to establish what happened before and during the alleged attack.
The Monroe County District Attorney described the incident as a domestic tragedy and said there was no continuing threat to the public.
Harrison remained hospitalised and had not been arraigned as of Tuesday night, according to the information provided in the original report. The investigation was continuing, and the allegations against her had not yet been tested in court.
