Elon Musk has said he would prefer to be left alone to spend time with his children, responding to a social media user who expressed sympathy for him amid recent disputes and public claims involving his family.
The billionaire made the remark on X after an online discussion about allegations that he had removed his transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, from his health insurance following her transition.

Musk denied the allegation, which was attributed to TMZ. Responding to the report on X, he wrote: “This is utterly false. At no point did I remove Xavier from health insurance.”
Wilson, who was previously known as Xavier, publicly distanced herself from her father in 2022 and legally changed her name and gender designation. Musk’s use of her former name in his response drew attention to the ongoing public tensions surrounding their relationship.
Following Musk’s denial, an X user defended him, criticising media coverage and referring to other personal disputes involving the technology entrepreneur, including claims and public exchanges involving Ashley St. Clair and Shivon Zilis.
“Let the man make his rockets and take us to the moon,” the user wrote, arguing that Musk was facing several issues at once.
Musk responded directly to the post, saying: “At this point, I would prefer to be alone and just spend time with my kids”.
His comment comes amid continued public interest in his complicated family life, which has involved multiple relationships and children. However, his brief response did not provide further details about the disputes or indicate whether he intended to withdraw from public engagement.
The exchange has added another development to the public conversation surrounding Musk’s personal life, as the billionaire continues to attract attention both for his business ventures and for statements made on social media.
