Burna Boy is set to feature in Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) as an in-game radio host, joining an international lineup of musicians and artists selected to bring the game’s radio stations to life.

The Nigerian singer will co-host AfroBank FM alongside German DJ and producer Palms Trax. The station will explore music from across Africa, including 20th-century classics, lesser-known recordings, amapiano and 3-step, bringing a broad range of African sounds into one of the world’s most anticipated video game releases.

Burna Boy Joins Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) as Host of AfroBank FM Radio Station

Known in the game simply as Burna, the artist will take on a radio personality role rather than appearing solely through his recorded music. His involvement continues an existing connection with the Grand Theft Auto franchise, where his music has featured in previous releases and updates.

Burna Boy previously appeared on GTA V’s iFruit Radio with “Killin Dem”, his collaboration with Zlatan. His song “Gettin’ Money” was also featured in the GTA Online Cayo Perico update, giving the singer an established presence in the series before his new hosting role in GTA 6.

The AfroBank FM announcement places Burna Boy among a wider group of international artists chosen to host stations in GTA 6. The lineup includes Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny and singer RaiNao on Cocoteo FM, Swedish pop artist Robyn alongside model Alex Consani on Flash FM, and rappers Trick Daddy and Trina on Dirty South Classics. Country artists Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey are also part of the radio lineup, while Slayer members Kerry King and Tom Araya will host the heavy metal station, The Chamber.

Music has long been a defining part of the Grand Theft Auto experience, giving players a soundtrack to their journeys through the game’s fictional cities. For GTA 6, Rockstar Games says the title will feature its broadest selection of in-game radio and podcasts yet, with stations covering different genres and musical traditions. AfroBank FM’s focus on African music adds another dimension to that mix, placing sounds from the continent alongside pop, Latin music, country, hip-hop and metal.

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar Games. The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, which includes a modern-day version of Vice City. Burna Boy’s radio role will give the Nigerian artist another connection to the franchise, this time as one of the voices guiding players through its musical landscape.
