OnlyFans Model Denies Role in Leading Police to Cartel Boss El Mencho

OnlyFans model María Julissa has publicly denied claims that she was the girlfriend whose information helped Mexican authorities locate Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes, the leader of the New Generation Jalisco Cartel. The denial comes after an AI-generated image and widespread speculation on social media linked her to the slain cartel leader.

Julissa, who has 3.5 million followers on Instagram, emphasized in a social media statement that she had no involvement in law enforcement operations. “I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that situation,” she wrote, urging her audience to verify information through official channels rather than social media rumors.

The controversy erupted after online posts claimed Julissa was romantically involved with Oseguera and that her presence had helped authorities track him to a resort compound in Tapalpa, Jalisco. Authorities have not released the identity of the woman whose information led to the operation. Despite this, the AI-generated image circulated widely across Spanish-language social media, prompting false speculation about Julissa’s involvement.

Julissa described the claims as baseless. “The information going around is false and lacks foundation. I ask that you all not fall for fake news and always look to reliable sources and officials,” she wrote.

Mexico’s Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla confirmed that authorities tracked Oseguera through a woman known to him, without specifying her identity. According to Trevilla, intelligence agents first identified a man close to the woman and determined that she had visited the cartel leader’s compound in Tapalpa, a remote mountainside location in Jalisco.

The woman left the compound before Mexican special forces launched their operation. In the ensuing confrontation, El Mencho and his associates engaged the military, resulting in multiple deaths during the firefight.

Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes had previously been married to Rosalinda González Valencia, who was released from prison last year after serving two years for money laundering. The cartel leader had remained a central figure in Mexico’s criminal landscape, and his death triggered violent retaliation across Jalisco and other states. Reports indicate that more than 70 people were killed in the aftermath, including 25 members of the national guard.

The incident underscores the challenges Mexican authorities face in dismantling organized crime networks while combating misinformation that spreads online. For Julissa, the viral claims highlight the speed at which social media and AI-generated content can distort real events and place innocent individuals at the center of high-profile criminal cases.
