Young Thug Returns to live performances this weekend with his first concert since being released from jail last year. After agreeing to a plea deal in his RICO trial, the Atlanta-born rapper is ready to take the stage again as a headliner at this year’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash.
It was officially announced in March that Young Thug would be one of the top performers at this year’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash event. Now, just days before the show, he is building excitement with a video teased on social media titled “THUGGER RETURNS.”
On Sunday, June 22, Thugger will take the headline slot and close out the festival. This marks a significant moment for both the artist and his fans. Elliot Montanez, the director of operations for Lyrical Lemonade, shared his thoughts about this milestone.
“In a strange way, it feels like everything has come full circle,” Montanez said. “Summer Smash was one of the shows Young Thug was supposed to perform before he went away. Now, it’s the first show he’s doing since coming back. It is a beautiful moment for fans to see him in person again after a long time.”

Young Thug was originally scheduled to co-headline the 2022 festival alongside Gunna. However, both rappers were arrested just before the event, leading to their replacement by Lil Uzi Vert.
Besides gearing up for the concert, Thugger has been making headlines with unexpected comments about his career. Recently, during an appearance on Adin Ross’ Kick stream, he joked about quitting music to become a full-time streamer.
“I’m thinking about stopping music and starting streaming,” Young Thug said. “I’m telling you, I’m done rapping. I’m gonna start streaming.”
He went on to explain why streaming caught his interest. “You all live a cool life. You go everywhere every day. You have cats walking around and all types of crazy stuff.”
Fans hoping for news on Young Thug’s next album got a mixed message. Ross tried to get him to reveal the release date for Uy Scuti, but the rapper kept it under wraps. The only hint is that the album should drop this month.
With only two Fridays left in June before July, the release of Uy Scuti is either very close or possibly delayed.
It’s amazing to see Young Thug making his comeback at Summer Smash after everything he’s been through. His performance will definitely be a highlight for fans who’ve been waiting to see him live again. The idea of him quitting music for streaming is surprising, but it shows how unpredictable he can be. It’s exciting to think about what he’ll bring to the stage and whether he’ll drop any hints about his new album. Do you think Uy Scuti will actually release this month, or is it just another delay? Given the growing economic instability due to the events in the Middle East, many businesses are looking for guaranteed fast and secure payment solutions. Recently, I came across LiberSave (LS) — they promise instant bank transfers with no chargebacks or card verification. It says integration takes 5 minutes and is already being tested in Israel and the UAE. Has anyone actually checked how this works in crisis conditions?
