TikTok Star Girlalala Death: Boyfriend Made Frantic 911 Call Before Arrest in Florida Shooting

TikTok star Girlalala death is drawing national attention after authorities revealed that her boyfriend, Shanoyd Whyte Jr., placed a panicked 911 call moments after the shooting in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida last Friday. The call, released in audio obtained by TMZ, captured Whyte pleading for emergency help while struggling to give the location.

He can be heard saying:

“Please help! Hello? I need help please! I need help! I don’t know the address. Just check! Just check, please! I’m at a house. I’m at a house. Please… alright, thank you.”

When the call ended, the 911 operator called him back and urged him to stay on the line.

Whyte replied:

“Yes, hello. Get here! Hurry up and get here! Who’s calling me, hurry up and get here! Please.”

When Broward Sheriff’s deputies and Fire Rescue arrived, they found 21-year-old Girlalala, born Maurice Harrison, in the front passenger seat of a parked Tesla with gunshot wounds. She was taken to Broward Health Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that Whyte, 25, a former college football player, was taken into custody and charged with first degree murder. Records show he previously faced a domestic violence arrest in 2022. A judge has ordered him held without bond as investigations continue.

Girlalala gained a strong online following as a wig influencer and hairstylist behind Girlalala Beauty Bar in Pompano Beach, Florida. Her social platforms had grown rapidly, including 294,600 followers on TikTok, 117,012 across her Instagram accounts, 4,760 subscribers on YouTube, and 5,146 followers on X. Her family already faced tragedy last August when her brother, Marion Harrison, was shot and killed.

Her family issued a public statement through WPLG Local 10 that read:

“As a family we appreciate every prayer, kind thought and gesture during our time of bereavement. Now we are just praying that justice is served to the fullest degree.”

The funeral is scheduled for December 5. A GoFundMe organized by Chaddie Harrison surpassed its 25,000 dollar target, raising 28,777 dollars at the time of writing. Among the donations was 12,500 dollars from former City Girls rapper JT, legally known as Jatavia Shakara Johnson. She posted a tribute on Instagram saying:

“Rest beautiful Girlalala! We love you and heaven will never be boring now that you are there. Your boldness, energy, humor and beauty will be missed! You never missed a chance to show me love, and for that, I’m forever grateful. I’m sorry this happened to you! We have to stop thinking things are funny because of the way the story is told. If you see content about DV, don’t laugh because it’s a trans or black woman. Protect trans women, protect black women, protect feminism as a whole!”

Authorities have not yet disclosed additional details about what led to the shooting. Investigators have not released new statements regarding evidence collected from the vehicle or the home where Whyte placed the emergency call. Members of the online community continue to call for justice while supporters share tributes across social media.
