TAAG Angola Airlines Pilot Training strengthens partnership with Boeing to elevate pilot skills and operational standards across the fleet. The expansion comes following an agreement signed during the 2025 Dubai Airshow, where both organizations outlined new commitments to train pilots through real flight scenarios, data backed materials, and hands on instruction. The goal is to build a stronger pipeline of student pilots while supporting senior captains who operate newer aircraft in the TAAG fleet.
TAAG pilots will undergo tailored program tracks that focus on operational challenges, fleet expansion, and aircraft delivery processes. The training support includes specialist pilots from Boeing who assist with acceptance flights, startup protocols, and technical onboarding whenever a new aircraft is introduced. The approach ensures that pilots not only complete theoretical modules but also receive direct coaching during early operational flights.
Beyond classroom and simulator sessions, Boeing pilots are positioned to train TAAG flight operations staff on site. This covers monitoring live flights, offering post flight reviews, and helping refine cockpit procedures for efficiency and safety. The partnership is structured to help TAAG move into expansion phases smoothly, especially as the carrier introduces new wide body aircraft into scheduled international routes.
Clovis Rosa, Chairman at TAAG Angola Airlines, emphasized that the renewed collaboration forms part of the airline’s wider Transformation Strategy. He said that upgrading training systems allows the airline to maintain technical consistency and high safety results across the new Dreamliner fleet. He also noted that building people oriented investments is essential to sustaining international aviation standards.
Chris Broom, Vice President of Training Solutions at Boeing Global Services, highlighted the long term nature of the relationship between both companies. He said that Boeing training tools and instructor support are designed to match the needs of the TAAG fleet. He added that Boeing expects continuous cooperation to keep flight operations successful for many more years.
