Seychelles tourism in South Korea took centre stage at the 40th Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF), held from June 5 to June 8, 2025. This event provided a prime chance to connect with South Korean travel professionals, media, and potential travellers. The islands were positioned clearly as a top choice for those seeking unique and safe travel experiences.
The Seychelles team was led by Mrs Amia Jovanovic-Desir, Manager for South Asian Markets, alongside Mrs Saida Mussard, Marketing Executive, and Mr Stephen Stefaniuk, General Manager of Raffles Seychelles. Over four days, they engaged with hundreds of industry experts and tourists interested in what Seychelles has to offer.
More than just a honeymoon destination, Seychelles offers world-class diving, deep-sea fishing, scenic nature trails, and family-friendly activities. This wide range ensures there is something for every kind of traveller.
Reflecting on the event, Mrs Jovanovic-Desir described the participation as a strategic step to raise Seychelles’ profile in the South Korean market and deepen awareness of the brand. South Korean travellers increasingly seek safe, meaningful experiences. Seychelles fits this demand perfectly.
She added that the team gained important insights into South Korean visitors’ preferences. Moving forward, targeted marketing campaigns and partnerships will focus on promoting Seychelles as a secure, inspiring destination with diverse experiences.
The Tourism Seychelles stand attracted strong interest. Stunning images of white sandy beaches and the famous Vallée de Mai nature reserve were displayed. Visitors also showed curiosity about the iconic Coco de Mer nut.
Seeing the potential of the market, Tourism Seychelles plans to maintain visibility through tailored marketing. This includes leveraging local platforms like Naver and inviting influential YouTubers, journalists, and trade experts to experience Seychelles first-hand.
