Royal Air Maroc LAX flights mark a major step in the airline’s growth as it prepares to open a direct link from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca to Los Angeles International Airport in early June. The route becomes the only nonstop passenger service from LAX to the African continent, a milestone that carries strong interest for travelers heading to Morocco or connecting deeper into Africa.

The new route begins on June 7 with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Westbound service leaves Casablanca at 4.00 a.m. and reaches Los Angeles at about 8.20 a.m. local time. Eastbound flights leave LAX at 10.20 a.m. and arrive in Casablanca the next morning at 5.25 a.m. Royal Air Maroc will operate the route with a Boeing 787 8 Dreamliner, offering 274 seats with an 18 seat business cabin.
Royal Air Maroc already serves New York JFK, Miami International Airport and Washington Dulles. The addition of Los Angeles expands its visibility in the United States and gives West Coast travelers a new long haul option without the need for European transfers.
Demand is expected to surge at launch due to its timing. The first flight arrives just days before the start of the 2026 World Cup. Los Angeles is one of the host cities. Morocco has qualified and placed in Group C with Brazil, Haiti and Scotland, which adds further excitement as fans plan their travel routes.
The United States is in Group D with Paraguay, Australia and the winner of a pending European play off match. With matches spread across multiple cities, the Casablanca to Los Angeles corridor is likely to attract travelers routing through North America for the tournament.
After the World Cup, the airline aims to build long term demand by offering one stop connections from Los Angeles to African destinations through its Casablanca hub. This positions the route as a sustainable corridor for business and leisure travel.
Frequent flyer members within the Oneworld alliance, including American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, will be able to book the flights with miles once availability appears in reservation systems.
