Pope Francis Shows Signs of Improvement After Health Scare.

Pope Francis is finally showing encouraging signs of recovery after being hospitalized for nearly three weeks, according to a Vatican insider quoted by CNN.

A statement from the Vatican press office on Saturday confirmed that the Pope has shown “a good response to therapy” and is experiencing a “gradual, slight improvement” since facing acute respiratory failure on Monday.

The improvement has been attributed to better “gas exchange” in his lungs and improved blood oxygen levels, the Vatican source revealed. Despite the progress, concerns remain over the possibility of another breathing complication, and the overall outlook is still cautious.

Pope Francis is currently alternating between high-flow oxygen therapy during the day and non-invasive ventilation at night to support his breathing, according to the Vatican press office.

On Saturday morning, the Pope prayed privately in a chapel. Later in the afternoon, he took time to rest and engaged in some work-related activities. The Vatican confirmed that Sunday’s Angelus prayer will once again be issued in written form rather than delivered live.

Looking ahead to Monday, Pope Francis is expected to begin participating in the traditional Lenten “spiritual exercises” from the hospital, the Vatican source shared with CNN.

Since his respiratory crisis on Monday, the Pope’s condition has remained stable. He has also been undergoing respiratory and motor therapy. On Thursday, he released a pre-recorded audio message to express gratitude for the prayers and support he has received.

Pope Francis’ steady improvement is a source of relief for Catholics worldwide, though the Vatican remains cautious about his long-term recovery.
