Child endangerment is the focus of a growing concern in Ohio after Racqual Hicks, 37, was arrested for allegedly leaving her seven children alone in a car while she visited a gambling business.
Authorities said Hicks brought her children, ranging in age from 11 months to 15 years, to Luna’s Internet Cafe and left them in the vehicle for approximately 40 minutes. Police reports indicate that some of the younger children were not secured in proper car seats and that Hicks was driving with a suspended license at the time.
The case highlights ongoing questions about parental responsibility and the legal limits of child supervision.
