Manchester United Proposes €40m Plus Hojlund for Victor Osimhen.
Manchester United are reportedly looking into a potential move for Victor Osimhen, with the club considering a proposal that includes €40m plus Rasmus Hojlund in exchange for the Nigerian striker.
Osimhen, who was once named Africa’s Player of the Year, is currently on loan at Galatasaray, though he is expected to return to Napoli at the end of the season. His release clause stands at €75m, a figure that United are not keen on meeting right now. According to Calciomercato.com (via Football Italia), the club is preparing a different kind of offer—€40m in cash along with Hojlund.
Earlier in January, Repubblica reported that United had already shown interest in Osimhen during the winter transfer window. However, the striker chose to stay with Galatasaray and not make a mid-season move.
Since joining Galatasaray on loan, Osimhen has been in sensational form, scoring 14 goals and adding four assists across 19 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig. Additionally, the 26-year-old has featured seven times in the UEFA Europa League, finding the back of the net six times and providing one assist. His overall contribution this season stands at an impressive 20 goals and five assists from 26 games in all competitions.
In contrast, Hojlund has struggled to make an impact for Manchester United in the 2024-25 season, with just seven goals and one assist in 32 appearances across all competitions.
