Manchester City Midfielder Rodri Reported to Police Over Drone Incident
Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been reported to the police for allegedly flying a drone near the windows of neighbouring apartments.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner was filmed operating the unmanned aircraft from the balcony of his penthouse in central Manchester. Tenants in the building say the drone has hovered close to their windows, raising concerns about privacy breaches.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they are aware of the situation and are carrying out enquiries.

One resident, living with a partner on a high floor, told The Sun that the incident left them unsettled. “I live with my partner on a high floor and the last thing you expect to see when you are watching television is a drone a metre from your window,” they said. “My wife is very unnerved by it. One of the benefits of living so high up is that you are not overlooked by anyone, but now we are being plagued by Rodri and his drone.”

Another couple, residing on the 34th floor, reported a similar encounter. They saw a green flashing light outside their window one evening, which they traced back to Rodri’s top-floor patio. The resident’s girlfriend called 101 to alert Greater Manchester Police.

The case has sparked discussions among locals about the use of drones in shared residential spaces and the boundaries of personal privacy.
