Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez friendship remains strong despite rumors

Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez
There’s no bad blood between Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez. In fact, the connection they’ve shared over the years hasn’t gone anywhere. Leah made that clear in a fresh interview where she addressed the long-standing buzz about a supposed falling out with the global superstar.

After splitting from Ben Affleck and closing a major chapter in her life, Jennifer Lopez found herself back in touch with her old friend. At the same time, Leah was navigating her own emotional shift — divorcing Angelo Pagán after more than two decades of marriage. Through all of it, the women found comfort in each other’s words.

“Right after the divorce, we’d text each other loving messages of support,” Leah told Us Weekly, brushing off the headlines that suggest otherwise.

The pair, who lit up the screen together in the feel-good movie Second Act back in 2018, were once considered inseparable. Still, people love to speculate. But Leah was clear — the bond hasn’t been broken.

“Sometimes you don’t talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn’t mean the love is lost,” she explained. “Friendships ebb and flow. I have many friends that I don’t talk to every day. That doesn’t mean we’re at odds — it’s just that I’m at a different place and so are they.”

Even though J.Lo hasn’t made a public comment about Leah in recent times, it’s safe to say her schedule hasn’t exactly been quiet. Over Memorial Day weekend, she both hosted and performed at the 2025 American Music Awards — then came the announcement of her Las Vegas residency titled Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night.

And there’s more on her plate. She’s gearing up to headline the opening night of the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, D.C. After that, she’ll be starring alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman. The movie, inspired by the Tony Award-winning Broadway show, is set to hit theaters on October 10.

Through fame, family, and personal change, Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez have proven that real friendship doesn’t always need to be loud or public — sometimes it just needs to exist.
