Boogz Da Beast and AllDay Call Out Kanye West for Skipping Payments on Donda 2 Tracks.
Kanye West has finally put out his long-hyped Donda 2 album, but the celebration didn’t last. Almost as soon as it dropped, the drama started. Two producers who’ve worked with him for years are calling him out. They say they never got paid for the tracks they worked on. Now their manager, DeAndre “Free” Maiden, is demanding the whole album be taken down.
Jahmal “Boogz Da Beast” Gwin and Brian “AllDay” Miller are not new to Ye’s world. These guys helped shape some of the sound behind Kanye’s recent work. But Ye didn’t respond with much sympathy. He went online and basically brushed them off, claiming he taught them how to make beats in the first place. According to him, they owe their craft to him.
The release of Donda 2 has been a mess from the beginning. Kanye first teased the album more than three years ago. It got a flashy launch at a stadium show in Miami back in 2022, filled with stars and big theatrics. He said it would only be released through his custom Stem Player, but delays and fights behind the scenes kept pushing it back. Now that it’s finally showing up on streaming services, it’s already at risk of being pulled.
And this isn’t the first time money has been a problem on this project. ATL Jacob, another producer, said he also never saw a dime for his work. It’s strange, considering Ye’s billionaire status. You’d think money wouldn’t be an issue. But this album seems to carry more drama than momentum, and people are beginning to wonder if the music was even worth all the trouble.
