Kanye West Rants Online: “I Don’t Get to Be a Dad”.
Kanye West went off on another intense livestream — this time pouring his heart out about not having custody of his kids with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The video, which spread quickly online, showed him with his face fully covered by a black mask as he let loose about being unable to spend time with North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
“I was at the airport by myself man. I’m going to get these kids,” Ye said during the livestream, calling out DJ Akademiks for motivating him. “F all these dudes. I’m going to get my kids. I’m dealing with lawyers now and it’s driving me to a place where I gotta learn to live without seeing my kids.”
At 47, Kanye has been openly upset about the current arrangement with Kim. He’s talked about it a few times in public, saying the system feels more like supervised visits than actual co-parenting.

Back in March, Ye accused Kim and what he called the “Kardashian mob” of stripping him of real parenting rights. In a tweet that was later deleted, he wrote, “I don’t want to just ‘see’ my kids. I need to raise them. I need to decide where they go to school, who they hang out with, what houses they stay over, whether my daughters wear makeup and perfume. All of that has been taken from me.”
He went even further, blaming platforms like Hulu and Disney for pushing what he described as a bigger agenda, using his Black children as tools to sway Black audiences. “Why are the celebrities just watching this happen? Jay Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick, Rihanna, Rocky, Trump, Elon — why is no one saying anything while Kim takes my kids away from me in front of everyone?”
Ye also addressed what people say about his behavior. “Y’all say I act like this because of my childhood. But I don’t even get to be a dad. That’s why I’m losing it.”
In another post, Kanye added, “I have to pretend I’m okay with the fact that my kids have been taken away. And everybody just watches it like it’s normal.”
The rapper claimed he hadn’t seen Saint, his older son, at all this year.
Kim and Kanye were married from 2014 until their divorce in 2022.
