Joey Bada$$ Lonely At The Top is finally set to release this Friday, August 29, after several delays. The New York rapper has had a busy year, starting 2025 with a string of playful feuds involving West Coast artists, including Ray Vaughn, Az Chike, REASON, Daylyt, and others.

Fans are already getting a taste of what’s coming. Yesterday, Joey shared his new single “Still” featuring Ab-Soul and Rapsody, and today he dropped a moody music video for the track. The release has sparked anticipation for the full project, which promises the signature introspective and hard-hitting style fans have come to expect.
Originally, Lonely At The Top was scheduled for a July release. Joey Bada$$ openly expressed his frustration on social media when the album got delayed. “My album got pushed back because the label pushed my album back,” he wrote. “My album is signed, sealed, and delivered over a month ago. This is not about sample clearances, features, or date clashes with other artists. This is literally the label getting in the artist’s way.”
Joey continued to voice his issues with Columbia Records. “I’m signed to Columbia Records, but for the longest time, I just haven’t been f*cking with them. All they do is get in my way. They don’t contribute to anything.”
Despite the West Coast feud earlier this year, Joey emphasized it was all in good fun. “It was playful for me. This rap sh*t is a sport and I have many allies on the West,” he said during a recent Breakfast Club appearance. “If you really watched it, I didn’t mean any disrespect. My intention was never that. I’m just like, ‘Yo we rappin.’”
Fans are now counting down the days for the official release of Joey Bada$$ Lonely At The Top, expecting a project full of mood-driven tracks and lyrical depth.
