IAPCO Hosted EDGE Seminar in Indonesia Strengthens the Global Events Industry

IAPCO Hosted EDGE Seminar in Indonesia officially returns this week as the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers brings one of its most respected education programmes back to Jakarta from 26 to 28 November 2025. The three-day professional development event is being hosted in collaboration with Pacto-Convex and the Tourism Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN Indonesia), with strategic support from the newly launched Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) PIK2.

IAPCO Hosted EDGE Seminar in Indonesia

This marks a major moment for Indonesia’s business events industry, underlining the country’s growing influence in the global meetings and conventions sector. The return of IAPCO signals renewed confidence in Indonesia as a serious player within the international congress and professional events ecosystem.

IAPCO has maintained a long standing relationship with Indonesia that stretches back to the late 1980s. Over the decades, the organisation has been deeply involved in professional training across the country, delivering tailored education programmes designed to raise standards and develop world-class event professionals. Today’s Hosted EDGE Seminar builds directly on that legacy.

The Jakarta edition is being delivered by the IAPCO Training Academy, known globally for its hands-on, practical training approach. Instead of generic sessions, participants experience highly interactive learning experiences that reflect the real demands of international event management.

The programme covers essential skills for operating in an increasingly global and competitive industry. Topics include international best practices, emerging industry shifts, operational planning, risk awareness, client experience design, and sustainable event operations. Each session is built around application rather than theory, ensuring attendees leave with tools they can immediately apply within their organisations.

The real impact of the seminar goes beyond training alone. It provides a platform for Indonesian professionals to connect with global experts, peer networks, and international institutions that continue to shape how modern events are designed and delivered.

Stephen Noble, Chair of the IAPCO Training Academy, emphasized the broader importance of hosting the programme in the country:

“Delivering IAPCO education in Indonesia is not simply about sharing international standards. It is about unlocking the local talent that already exists and equipping professionals to operate with confidence in any market.”

His statement reflects IAPCO’s wider vision. Rather than offering one-off seminars, the organisation focuses on long-term development, mentorship, and industry readiness.

The Jakarta seminar reinforces Indonesia’s role within the Asia-Pacific business events network. With growing investment in venues, infrastructure, and professional training, the country continues to position itself as a competitive destination for international meetings and exhibitions.

Hosting the programme at NICE PIK2 further strengthens this message. As one of Indonesia’s newest large scale venues, it represents the infrastructure growth currently taking place across the country. Participants benefit from learning within a modern operational environment that reflects real world business event conditions.

Through this collaboration with national organisations and global partners, IAPCO continues to invest in skills development that will shape future industry leaders across the APAC region.

As Indonesia expands its footprint in international event hosting, programmes like Hosted EDGE play a critical role in ensuring the people behind the industry grow just as rapidly as the venues and facilities themselves.
