The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair was held for the first time during the opening weekend of Vene 25 Båt, from Friday to Sunday, February 7–9, 2025, at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. Over the course of three days, the event attracted more than 35,000 visitors.

“Hunters and outdoor enthusiasts found their way to the event, and surely, many visitors were people who had not attended a hunting fair before. The feedback we received has been positive, and the event demonstrated strong synergy with the boat fair. I can already say that this will not be the last time the Outdoor & Hunting Fair is held alongside the boat fair in Helsinki. It is already confirmed that the International Hunting Fair will take place in June 2026 in Riihimäki,” says Ninni Manninen, the fair director from Expomark.

The Hunting Fair showcased new firearms and outdoor equipment, while fishing enthusiasts found plenty of offerings at the Boat Fair, which featured extensive presentations on casting, trolling, and fly fishing. The Vene 25 Båt fair continues until February 16, 2025.

One of the program’s highlights was polar explorer Poppis Suomela, who launched his book Tahdonvoimaa (Willpower) on the fair’s opening day. Another guaranteed crowd-puller was Mikko “Peltsi” Peltola, who introduced his new series Peltsi ja Osmo. Additionally, the fair featured the Winter Night at the Expo Centre’s Yard event, where Poppis Suomela, representatives from Suomen Latu (The Finnish Outdoor Association), and Retki magazine participated. The participants spent the night outdoors, sleeping comfortably in Scandinavian Outdoor and Joutsen-provided gear.
