Grimes Slams Media for Sharing Son’s Images After Musk’s Oval Office Parade.
American singer Grimes has made a heartfelt plea to the media, asking them to stop sharing images of her child following a highly publicized appearance by her ex-partner, Elon Musk, and their son at the Oval Office.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, shares three children with Musk, who is the father of at least 13 known kids. Lately, tensions have risen between the former couple, particularly over Musk bringing their 4-year-old son, X, to major political events. The singer has also voiced concerns about Musk allegedly ignoring their child during what she described as a “medical crisis.”
Speaking in a recent interview with Time, Grimes addressed the increased attention on her social media presence, which many saw as a response to Musk’s actions.
“It was like, ‘Grimes slams,’ ‘Grimes speaks out.’ But in reality, it was just a reply,” she explained, referring to her online comments about not wanting her son to be in the public eye like this.
She continued, “I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere. I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things will be what they are, but I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I’m just asking.”
This interview took place before Grimes sent a now-deleted public plea to Musk last week, desperately trying to reach him about their child’s health emergency.
At the time, Musk was attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) alongside Argentina’s President Javier Milei. During the event, Musk made headlines when he wielded a chainsaw on stage while wearing aviator sunglasses and a MAGA hat—a move meant to symbolize government budget cuts.
As the billionaire was making waves at the political gathering, Grimes took to social media with an urgent message directed at Musk, asking him to get in touch regarding their child’s medical condition.
“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention,” she wrote in the post before later deleting it.
She further stated that Musk didn’t necessarily have to communicate with her directly but should at least appoint someone to handle the matter.
“If you don’t want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can, so that we can move forward on solving this? This is urgent, Elon.”
Grimes shares three children with Musk: 4-year-old X Æ A-12, 3-year-old Exa, and 2-year-old Techno. Their complicated co-parenting relationship continues to draw public attention, as the singer struggles to maintain a sense of normalcy for her children despite their father’s global fame and political presence.
