Flow Festival internship applications are now officially open, offering a rare behind-the-scenes entry point into one of Northern Europe’s most influential cultural events.

Flow Festival has confirmed that its internship application period is open until 22 February 2026, inviting students and recent graduates to take part in the planning and delivery of the 2026 edition of the festival.
The program is designed for individuals who want real exposure to the event industry, not just observational roles. Interns are integrated into active teams and gain practical, hands-on experience across several core areas of festival operations.
Internship Areas Available
Flow Festival offers internship placements in key departments that reflect the full scope of modern festival production:
- Festival production and on-site operations
- Communications and media coordination
- Marketing, partnerships, and brand activation
In addition to longer placements, Flow also provides short-term internships for those who want to explore the event industry without committing to an extended program. These shorter roles are structured to give a clear understanding of how large-scale cultural events are built and executed.
Who the Internships Are For
The internship program is aimed at:
- University and polytechnic students
- Recent graduates interested in events, culture, media, or marketing
- Early-career professionals seeking practical industry experience
Applicants are expected to be proactive, adaptable, and genuinely interested in live events and cultural production. Prior festival experience is not mandatory, but curiosity and commitment are essential.
Flow Festival 2026 Dates and Location
The 2026 edition of Flow Festival will take place from 14 to 16 August 2026 in Helsinki, Finland. Interns selected for the program will have the opportunity to contribute directly to preparations leading up to the festival and, depending on role, during the event itself.
Flow Festival is widely regarded as more than a music festival. It is a platform where design, sustainability, technology, and contemporary culture intersect. For interns, this means exposure to international artists, media professionals, production teams, and brand partners, all operating at a high professional standard.
Many former interns have gone on to build careers in events, communications, creative industries, and cultural production, both in Finland and internationally.
