Flow Festival 2025 Lineup Expands Again; Nigeria’s Burna Boy Heading to Helsinki With the Heat!

Flow Festival 2025 just made things even bigger. Four major acts are joining the lineup for Friday and Saturday. These include Nigerian Afro-fusion star Burna Boy, iconic hip-hop duo Black Star, indie-pop artist Goldielocks, and Finland’s own space-metal band Oranssi Pazuzu.

Flow Festival 2025 Lineup Expands Again

Held in Helsinki from August 8th to 10th, this year’s edition is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet. With nearly 150 artists already confirmed, Flow continues to blend genres and generations in a setting that’s as much about cultural experience as it is about music.

Burna Boy’s name has been on almost every major festival bill this year, and for good reason. After selling out the UK’s Co-op Live and becoming the first African artist to fill Stade de France, he has redefined what global success looks like. His mix of Afrobeats, dancehall, and hip-hop has resonated across continents. The Grammy-winning artist will be releasing a new album later this year. Fans in Finland will see him take the stage at Flow with the same energy and rhythm that has made him a household name.

When Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) and Talib Kweli come together, something powerful happens. As Black Star, the Brooklyn-based legends have created some of hip-hop’s most thoughtful and poetic work. Their lyrics often tackle society, identity, and truth with a depth few others bring. For many hip-hop fans, seeing Black Star live is not just about nostalgia. It is about witnessing a craft that remains relevant in every era.

Goldielocks is fast becoming one of the most talked-about names in Finnish music. Her return to Flow comes after a strong showing at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu with her track “Made Of.” Now based in Berlin, she mixes dreamy pop with live instrumentation, creating a nostalgic yet fresh sound. Her performances are known for their atmosphere and intimacy. At Flow, she will bring something different to the table — a quieter but deeply emotional experience.

This is not music for casual listeners. Oranssi Pazuzu dives into deep sonic territory, mixing black metal with krautrock and psychedelic layers. Their latest album “Muuntautuja” continues their path of creative risk-taking. Described by the band as a nightmarish rave, the sound is strange, trance-like, and hypnotic. On stage, they do not just perform; they pull you into their world.

With these new additions, the lineup now includes Charli XCX, FKA twigs, Little Simz, Air performing Moon Safari, Underworld, Yung Lean & Bladee, Bicep, Lola Young, Beth Gibbons, Amaarae, Kneecap, Fontaines D.C., Montell Fish, and many more. It is a gathering that spans borders and genres, bringing everyone from Grammy winners to underground pioneers into one city for one weekend.

Flow Festival’s 21st edition takes place at the Suvilahti site in Helsinki. As always, the vibe will be urban, creative, and community-focused. Check out the full artist list and event details on the official website: https://www.flowfestival.com/en/artists
