Espoo Day 2025 Returns with Puutarhafest, Raittikarnevaalit, and Live Concerts

Espoo Day 2025 marks the grand conclusion of the summer season with a citywide celebration that brings residents together across neighborhoods. Scheduled for Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August, the event offers more than 150 free activities for families, friends, and visitors.

Espoo Day 2025

Organized with contributions from local communities, city departments, organizations, and companies, Espoo Day has become the city’s largest annual public event since its first edition in 1992.

This year’s theme, “Responsibly Together”, focuses on collective participation while promoting environmental care and social awareness. Residents are encouraged to join in and experience activities that highlight sustainability, community, and creativity.

In Vanttila, the Puutarhafest offers a nature-focused experience in the Espoo City Garden. Visitors can enjoy live music, interactive workshops, and community activities in a beautiful park setting. Families can explore local art installations and nature-themed programming designed to engage children and adults alike.

The Greater Leppävaara area hosts a mix of cultural and sporting activities. Vermo Arena will hold Horses in Espoo, a national-level equestrian event that draws competitors and spectators from across Finland. Street festival enthusiasts can attend the long-running Raittikarnevaalit, celebrating local culture and music. Saturday evening will conclude with a live concert by Samuli Putro at the Viaporintori terrace in Sello.

The complete Espoo Day 2025 programme is available on the city’s online event calendar. Residents can browse event details, plan their weekend, and join activities suited to every age group.
