Fans Gasp as Billy Joel Collapses On Stage Mid-Performance.
Legendary musician Billy Joel had an unexpected mishap during his recent performance at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut on February 22.
The 75-year-old “Piano Man” singer was in the middle of an energetic set when things took an unfortunate turn. As he launched into his hit song It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me, he twirled his microphone stand with enthusiasm before tossing it into the crowd.
However, just moments after sending the stand flying, Joel appeared to lose his balance and took a hard fall on stage. Fans in attendance gasped in shock as the music icon went down.
Fortunately, his band members rushed to his side, helping him back to his feet. Ever the professional, Joel shook it off and continued performing, delivering another song for the audience before wrapping up the show.
Despite his ability to power through, some concertgoers expressed concern about his well-being. According to the Daily Mail, one attendee noted, “He looked frail hobbling across the stage. At one point, he was even using the microphone stand like a cane. I was genuinely worried about him the entire night.”
As of now, Billy Joel has not directly addressed the fall. Instead, he made headlines for an entirely different reason—announcing a historic run of concerts in New York, proving that he’s not stepping away from the stage anytime soon.
