Victor Osimhen’s €75m Release Clause in Arsenal’s Sights for Summer Transfer.
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a move for on-loan Napoli forward Victor Osimhen this summer, with an offer around £65 million in the works, according to Italian publication Tuttojuve.
The North London club is said to be ready to trigger his release clause, which stands at €75 million (£61 million), to bring in the striker who has already racked up 27 goal contributions (22 goals and 5 assists) this season across all competitions.
Osimhen extended his impressive tally on Sunday, scoring a penalty and adding another goal in Galatasaray’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.
Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has also reported that Arsenal could beat Manchester United to Osimhen’s signature this summer.
With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz both sidelined due to injuries, the Gunners are keen to bolster their attacking options and secure a new centre-forward.
Currently, Osimhen is on loan at Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray and isn’t expected to return to Napoli’s Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer, with the forward likely to leave as he enters the final year of his contract.
