At an official ceremony, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Angola and Messe Berlin, the organizer of ITB Berlin, signed a partnership agreement. The signing was led by Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, Angola’s Minister of Tourism, and Dirk Hoffmann, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Berlin.

The Minister described the partnership as a unique chance to present Angola’s beauty and diversity to the world. “We are proud to represent Angola as the host country for ITB Berlin 2026. Our tourism brand ‘Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life’ shows how vibrant and real our culture, nature, and people are,” he said. “We invite the world to feel the rhythm of Angola.”

Dirk Hoffmann of Messe Berlin welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the shared vision behind the milestone event. “With its new slogan ‘The Rhythm of Life,’ Angola is taking its place among the most dynamic destinations in the world. The partnership reflects ITB Berlin’s mission to spotlight destinations that are ready to show their full tourism potential.”

Julia Kleber, CEO of the Kleber Group and representative of the Angola Tourism Board, added, “Angola is a land of contrasts, from wild coastlines and vast deserts to powerful waterfalls and ancient rock formations. We are proud to share Angola’s energy and authenticity with the global travel industry.”

Angola remains one of Africa’s most underrated destinations. Visitors can explore national parks untouched by mass tourism, waterfalls that rival Africa’s most famous, endless golden beaches, and desert landscapes that stretch to the horizon.

Its cultural scene is just as magnetic. Angola’s music, dance, and cuisine carry deep roots of tradition mixed with modern creativity. Together they express the country’s identity as the true “Rhythm of Life.”

As the official host country, Angola will lead the celebrations of ITB Berlin’s sixtieth anniversary in 2026. The event will begin with a grand opening gala on March 2 at CityCube Berlin, followed by a full exhibition program from March 3 to 5.

Its influence now reaches beyond Europe with ITB Asia, ITB China, ITB India, and the upcoming ITB Americas. The 2026 anniversary brings together six decades of innovation, connection, and transformation in global travel.

The partnership between Angola and ITB Berlin signals a major moment for African tourism. It represents more than a showcase of attractions; it stands for visibility, opportunity, and collaboration on a world stage. Angola’s participation demonstrates the continent’s growing influence in shaping the future of travel.
