Kumasi Fashion Week 2026 Calls for Designers Participation as the city gears up for a landmark edition that officially marks ten years of runway culture in Kumasi. The anniversary showcase will take place from 30th April to 3rd May 2026, bringing four days of fashion, culture, and industry attention to the Ashanti capital.
This edition is positioned as a celebratory year, but with clear focus. The emphasis is on strong collections, cultural clarity, and designers who understand both craft and presentation.
Who Can Apply
The call is open to local and international African fashion brands, as well as emerging designers looking to present structured, market-ready work. Designers across the continent and within the African diaspora are encouraged to apply.
Kumasi Fashion Week offers a runway environment that prioritizes visibility without excess noise. Designers are seen, photographed, discussed, and remembered. For emerging brands, this balance matters.
The 10 Years of Fashion in Kumasi
Now in its 10th year, Kumasi Fashion Week has evolved into a respected platform that connects heritage aesthetics with contemporary design. Over the years, it has become known for thoughtful curation and a grounded audience that values storytelling, craftsmanship, and originality.
The 2026 edition is organized by AYO A Ghana, in partnership with Kumasi City Mall, with support from Wahala Entertainment.
This collaboration reflects a blend of fashion credibility, retail visibility, and entertainment reach. The fashion week runs from 30th April to 3rd May 2026.
The deadline for designer registration is 10th March, 2026.
