The dismissal marks another turbulent chapter in Ivan Juric’s coaching career. Last season, he lasted only two months at Roma before a short-lived switch to Premier League side Southampton. His time in England ended abruptly in April when he resigned after the Saints became the earliest-relegated team in league history.
Juric’s appointment at Atalanta came with high expectations, as he succeeded Gian Piero Gasperini, the long-serving manager who had guided the club through nine successful years and moved on to Roma.
