Dallas Rapper Yella Beezy Indicted for Capital Murder in Connection with Mo3’s Death.
American rapper Markies Deandre Conway, better known as Yella Beezy, has been indicted on a capital murder charge related to the 2020 shooting death of fellow Dallas rapper Melvin Noble, known as Mo3.
A Dallas County grand jury handed down the indictment this week, accusing Conway of organizing the killing in exchange for payment. This suggests that Yella Beezy may have hired someone to carry out the fatal attack.
Mo3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was shot and killed in broad daylight on November 11, 2020. The incident happened on Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue. According to police reports, Noble attempted to escape from his vehicle but was chased down on foot and shot multiple times. The shooting was captured on traffic cameras and the footage quickly spread online.
Two other men had already been indicted in connection with the case. Kewon Dontrell White was initially charged with murder and later indicted in February 2021. Devin Maurice Brown was also indicted and accused of helping to coordinate the attack.
Investigators were able to link the suspects to the crime using phone records and surveillance footage, which placed them near Mo3’s location in the hours leading up to the shooting.
Federal prosecutors also brought additional charges against White and Brown. White was found with a 9mm pistol after fleeing from law enforcement. Brown, who was arrested in Limestone County, was later charged with federal drug and weapons violations after investigators discovered a stolen AK-47, drugs, and cash at his residence.
Following Yella Beezy’s arrest, Mo3’s mother, Nichole Williams Noble, shared her reaction on social media. In a Facebook post, she called the charges “justice” and expressed relief. The post quickly gained traction, with one commenter writing, “I’m so glad you can finally have peace.”
This isn’t Yella Beezy’s first run-in with the law. In 2021, he was arrested three times. In February, Dallas police charged him with weapons violations. He was arrested again in August on gun and drug-related charges. Later, in November, Plano police arrested him on an outstanding warrant for a sexual assault charge. He also faced charges of child endangerment and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
The latest indictment marks a significant turn in the case, as prosecutors appear to be building a stronger case against those involved in Mo3’s death.
