Jim Jones Blasts Clipse Over “Ace Trumpets” and Slams Pusha T’s Legacy
Jim Jones blasts Clipse once again. During a candid interview at the BET Awards, the Harlem rapper made it clear he was not impressed with Clipse’s new single “Ace Trumpets.” His comments were sharp, dismissive, and added more fuel to a long-standing tension that goes beyond music.

When asked about Clipse’s return, Jim didn’t hold back. Speaking to Bootleg Kev, he questioned the buzz around the track:

“What’s so great about it? It’s good in what? The nostalgic value of it? I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it, I don’t believe them.”

He made it clear that he has never been into Clipse’s style, music, or movement:

“That’s a whole other story and I don’t wanna downplay nobody’s craft… but I don’t listen to their music and never have. I don’t recall too many records that I can remember.”

Jones has taken jabs at Pusha T before. He made headlines in the past when he questioned Pusha’s place on a “greatest rappers of all time” list. He didn’t mince words back then either:

“What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time? Besides talk about cocaine that he probably didn’t get himself. He could rap his ass off but what has he done? Nobody has dressed like him. Nobody want to be like Pusha T. I don’t remember nothing.”

These words struck a nerve in the rap world and caught the attention of Pusha himself.

Pusha T fired back not in an interview but in a high-profile moment. During Louis Vuitton’s 2023 fashion show, he premiered a track believed to be a direct response to Jim Jones. On that track, Pusha rapped:

“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate
You know I know where you’re delicate
Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it
I will close your heaven for the hell of it”

And he followed up with more venom:

“And those lab diamonds under inspection
The question marks block your blessings
It’s no tombstones in the desert
I know by now you get the message.”

The shots were personal, layered, and unmistakable.

The bad blood between Jim Jones and Clipse seems rooted in more than just lyrics. It’s about legacy, respect, and cultural impact. Jones comes from a background that values realness, street recognition, and influence. Pusha, on the other hand, represents lyrical depth and niche acclaim. They come from two different worlds, and neither wants to give ground.

Just as things were heating up with Jim Jones, Pusha T shifted his attention. In a surprising move, he launched verbal attacks against Travis Scott. On the new Clipse track “So Be It,” and in recent interviews, Pusha took shots at the Houston artist. It seems like no one is safe when Pusha is in battle mode.

Jim Jones blasts Clipse without hesitation, calling out their music, their legacy, and their leader. His latest comments are just the latest in a growing timeline of tension between the two camps. Whether this turns into more lyrical warfare or just fades away, the divide between these artists is clear. In hip hop, respect is everything. And right now, neither side is giving any.
