Inside Cardi B Immigration Raids Criticism and the Rising Tension in Los Angeles

Cardi B immigration raids controversy in Los Angeles has sparked widespread debate after the rapper condemned Donald Trump’s recent crackdown on immigrant communities. Cardi, who was a strong supporter of Kamala Harris in the last election, spoke candidly on X Spaces about the president’s harsh approach and the government’s response to protests in the city.

“I always felt this was coming,” Cardi said. “He acts like a dictator. I don’t know anyone in the White House anymore. I try to speak about it every day, but it feels like he just doesn’t care. In fact, I think talking about it might make him deport even more people just to show he’s in charge.”

Cardi urged Trump to have compassion for immigrants. She is not alone among female hip hop artists to publicly criticize the president. At the recent BET Awards, rapper Doechii dedicated her acceptance speech to denouncing Trump’s actions over the past week.

The TDE artist addressed the audience with a sharp rebuke of the government’s use of force against protesters. “There are ruthless attacks creating fear and chaos in our neighborhoods all under the name of law and order,” she said. Doechii went on to question what kind of government uses military forces against its own people every time they exercise their democratic right to protest.

“Every time we stand up to protest, the military is deployed against us,” she said. “What kind of government is that?” she asked.

She also highlighted the human cost of the raids. “People are being taken from their families. As an artist, I feel it’s my duty to speak up for all oppressed people. We deserve to live with hope, not fear. I hope we can come together in this moment.”

Meanwhile, The Game has also voiced support for Los Angeles’ Mexican communities as protests grow louder across the city. In response, Trump has escalated the situation by sending in the National Guard and active Marines.
