BET Awards 2025: Performers, Presenters, and Ultimate Icon Recipients Revealed

BET Awards 2025 is set to deliver an unforgettable night as top talent gathers for the 25th annual show airing live from Peacock Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET. Comedian Kevin Hart returns as host for his second time, having previously led the ceremony in 2011.

This year’s show will feature dynamic performances by Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas. GloRilla leads the nominations with six nods, including Album of the Year for Glorious. Playboi Carti, known for his hit album Music, also makes a strong showing despite the album’s release being outside the eligibility period.

Ultimate Icon Award Recipients

The ceremony will honor four legendary artists with the Ultimate Icon Award: Mariah Carey, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dogg, and Kirk Franklin. These icons have left a lasting impact across music and culture.

Other top nominees include Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla with six each, Metro Boomin with five, and both SZA and The Weeknd tied with four nominations. The executive producer for the show is Connie Orlando, BET’s EVP of specials and music programming, with Jamal Noisette overseeing tentpole events and music community engagement. Jesse Collins Entertainment is producing the event, with Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay also serving as executive producers.

This milestone ceremony will also celebrate 25 years since the launch of 106 & Park with a special tribute. The original show aired on BET from 2000 to 2014, and a reboot is reportedly set to premiere by September 2025.
