easyJet is offering UK parents a £66.50 discount towards their baby’s first passport through easyJet holidays, helping families reduce the cost of planning a trip abroad with a young child.
The offer is available for one child under the age of 18 months per booking. Parents must book their holiday before 26 November, with travel completed before 31 October 2028. The infant must be under two years old at the time of travel.

The promotion comes as more families consider travelling abroad with babies and young children. A survey of 2,000 British parents who had taken their children abroad at least once before the age of five found that 82% viewed a baby’s first holiday as a significant family milestone. More than half described it as one of their proudest moments as parents.
The survey also suggested that travelling with very young children can be less difficult than some parents anticipate. Almost half of those questioned, 48%, said the experience had been easier than expected, while 87% said they would travel with their children again.
According to easyJet holidays, the number of infants travelling with the company has increased by 10% this year compared with 2025, despite the year not yet being over when the figures were reported.
Stuart Wright, customer director at easyJet holidays, said the company wanted to help families begin travelling with their children sooner by reducing the expense associated with obtaining a first passport.
“Travel has a unique way of bringing families together, and a baby’s very first holiday is often one of those moments parents remember for years to come,” Wright said.
“By covering the cost of a baby’s first passport, we’re helping more families start making those memories that little bit sooner.”
Although the offer can help reduce the initial cost of travelling abroad, parents should still account for other expenses, including flights, accommodation, travel insurance and any additional equipment their baby may need during the journey.
Infants under two can generally travel on an adult’s lap with many airlines, although fares, taxes and other charges vary by carrier and route. Families should check the conditions of their specific booking before travelling. easyJet does not offer onboard bassinets, so parents planning a flight with a sleeping baby should consider their seating arrangements and the airline’s rules for infant passengers.
A passport is another essential part of planning an international trip. In the UK, a child’s first passport is generally valid for five years. Applicants must provide the required documents, including evidence of the child’s identity and British nationality, as well as suitable passport photographs.
The photograph requirements are more flexible for young children than for adults. Children under five do not need to maintain a neutral expression or look directly at the camera, while babies under one do not need to have their eyes open in the photograph.
A countersignatory must also confirm the child’s identity. Under the standard UK application requirements, this person must meet the government’s eligibility criteria, including having known the applicant for at least two years and holding a valid British or Irish passport. Additional requirements apply to their residence and professional background.
Parents can find the full application process, document requirements and eligibility rules on the official UK government website.
For families considering a first holiday with a baby, easyJet’s offer provides a discount towards the passport cost, but eligibility depends on meeting the booking and travel deadlines. Parents should check the full easyJet holidays terms before making a reservation to confirm how the discount is applied.
