Maddwoo at Stockholm Fashion Week 2026 brought the worlds of ballet, streetwear and individual expression together through “Corps de Ballet”, a collection presented by designer and professional dancer Madeline Woo on June 8. Rather than treating ballet as a purely delicate aesthetic, Maddwoo explored its physicality through a grungier approach to dressing.
Founded by Woo, whose background includes the Royal Swedish Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, Maddwoo draws on the relationship between movement and clothing. That perspective informed the Stockholm showcase, where the discipline associated with classical dance met a less conventional visual language. The collection challenged familiar ideas of ballet-inspired fashion, moving away from polished romanticism towards a more rebellious expression of personal style.
The presentation formed part of Stockholm Fashion Week’s 2026 programme, which brought emerging and independent designers into focus. For Maddwoo, the runway offered an opportunity to introduce its approach to a wider fashion audience, placing dance, identity and contemporary design in the same conversation.
Through “Corps de Ballet”, Woo presented a vision of clothing shaped by movement and a willingness to challenge established style conventions. The Stockholm showcase marked a notable moment for the young label as it continued to develop its place within the Swedish fashion scene.
