Chris Brown’s former housekeeper, Maria Avila, is asking a court to issue an arrest warrant for the singer, alleging that he has failed to cooperate with efforts to collect a $9 million judgment awarded to her over a dog attack at his Los Angeles home.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Avila claims Brown has not provided dates for a court appearance where he would be required to answer questions about his finances and identify assets that could be used to pay the judgment.

Avila also alleges that Brown has failed to arrange an appearance with his bank records and that the financial information he has already provided is incomplete. She raised concerns about whether his disclosures accurately reflect the money he receives, particularly from his ongoing tour.
The court filing states that the information supplied by Brown “calls into question the accuracy and completeness of [Chris’] disclosure with respect to payment sources associated with his ongoing tour.”
Avila was initially awarded $13 million after a jury trial, but a judge later reduced the amount to $9 million. She accepted the reduced judgment, according to the report.
The lawsuit stems from a 2020 incident at Brown’s Los Angeles property. Avila said she was taking out the rubbish when a dog attacked her, leading to the legal dispute that resulted in the jury’s award.
Her latest request seeks to address the alleged difficulties in obtaining the financial information needed to enforce the judgment. However, the available report does not establish that Brown has been found to have deliberately concealed assets or violated a court order.
It also remains unclear whether the court will grant Avila’s request for an arrest warrant. The report did not indicate that a warrant had been issued.
