An elderly man is being sought by police after he was reportedly seen performing an indecent act on a beach in Bournemouth, with Dorset Police releasing an image of a person they want to identify as part of their investigation.

Police said the incident was reported at Boscombe Beach, near Gordon’s Zig Zag, between 1.45pm and 2.45pm on Monday, September 21. Officers are investigating the report as a possible case of outraging public decency.
According to Dorset Police, a man was seen apparently performing an indecent act while on the beach. The force has not released further details about what was allegedly witnessed or provided additional information about the circumstances surrounding the report.
Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation. The image is being circulated in an effort to establish his identity and help officers with their enquiries.
Police Constable Sam Robinson, of Bournemouth police, said officers were continuing to investigate the incident and appealed to anyone who recognised the man in the released image to contact Dorset Police.
“We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation,” Robinson said.
“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not said whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.
The release of the image does not establish that the person shown committed an offence. Dorset Police are seeking to speak with him as part of their enquiries into the reported incident.
