Britney Spears Was Taken to Hospital Following DUI Arrest, raising concerns about her well-being and ongoing personal struggles. The singer, 44, had her blood drawn Thursday morning to determine her blood alcohol content, TMZ reported, with Spears reportedly telling associates her BAC was .06. While California’s legal limit is .08 percent, authorities can charge drivers for erratic operation even below the legal threshold.

The Grammy-winning performer was arrested Wednesday evening in Ventura County, California, but she was not injured during the arrest. Spears was officially booked at 3:02 a.m. the next morning and released just over three hours later at 6:07 a.m. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
Her manager, Cade Hudson, described the incident as “completely inexcusable” in a statement to Page Six and expressed hope that Spears’ detainment marks the start of “long overdue change.” He emphasized that Spears will comply with the law and take steps to seek support and guidance. Hudson also noted that Spears’ loved ones, including her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, will be more involved in helping her establish a plan for her well-being.
Hours before her arrest, Spears had shared videos of herself dancing at her Thousand Oaks home, moments that now contrast sharply with the legal issues she faces. The singer has since deactivated her Instagram account.
Spears’ recent history has included public incidents and erratic behavior, such as a troubling driving video in October 2025. Last year, she denied similar concerns by claiming a “lookalike” was responsible, telling followers, “That was not me.” The latest arrest underscores ongoing questions about her personal stability and the support systems surrounding her, and it has reignited public discussion about her mental health and safety.
