2026 Grammy Nominations: Kendrick Lamar Leads With Nine Major Nods

2026 Grammy Nominations

The 2026 Grammy nominations are officially out, and once again, Kendrick Lamar stands at the top.

After the global success of GNX and its powerful singles, the Compton-born rapper has earned nine nominations at next year’s Grammy Awards, more than any other artist this season.

Kendrick Lamar dominates the list with nods across the most prestigious categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. Earlier this year, he won the latter two for his viral hit and Drake diss track, Not Like Us.

The West Coast legend is also leading every hip-hop category, including Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance. His joint track 30 For 30 with SZA has also landed him a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Other major contenders in rap include Clipse, Tyler, The Creator, JID, GloRilla, Cardi B, Doechii, and Drake. Despite their rivalry, Drake’s only nod this year comes in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for Somebody Loves Me featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will be held on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, continuing the long-running tradition of celebrating the best in music.
